At present, the excessive emission of carbon dioxide has caused the global climate warming year by year, and the global warming of the entire human survival and development of a serious threat. But concerns about emissions are limited to transport and industry, and buildings are often overlooked. In fact, 60% of carbon emissions in cities come from buildings, while transportation and industry account for only 30% . It can be seen that in the world advocated by the low-dilapidation economic development road, the building“Energy conservation” and“Low-dilapidation” is bound to become an unavoidable topic. Statistics show that every 1m2' of housing built in China releases about 0.8 t of carbon. In addition, building heating, air conditioning, ventilation, lighting and other energy sources are involved in the development process of real estate, and more buildings will produce a lot of non-recyclable materials after demolition, both increased emissions and damage to the environment. Therefore, today's countries are vigorously promoting low-carbon building design.
In August 2008, budget hotel company Travelodge opened its first recyclable container hotel in Uxbridge.
The Container Hotel was built by bolting it together. After the splicing, the windows were installed and the interior was renovated. It usually costs about RMB52M to build a traditional 100-bed hotel. The use of containers has reduced costs by 10 percent, to about 47 million yuan. The introduction of the module saved construction time by 25 per cent, meaning that a 100-bed hotel could be built in 30 weeks. This innovation in design is a revolution in temporary accommodation during festivals and major sporting events because it is easy and fast to build and dismantle, while saving costs.
